The Voiceover Learning Lounge
Hello, and welcome to the Voiceover Learning Lounge!
This podcast will focus on helping any audio learner become fluent at using Voiceover to navigate their mac computer, or get very comfortable with using their iPhone with the same screen reader. Each episode is a lesson about a different topic, and they are all taught by me, Voiceover Guide, a totally blind, highly experienced instructor of assistive technologies. The material will be taught in a very informal way that is easy to understand and follow. You will only learn what you actually need to know, to get something done on the device, without having to sit through an overview or some generalizations first. You can listen to the episodes in any order you like, but, if you start from the first episode and follow them in order, you won’t be required to know anything at all, about Voiceover beforehand.
If you like what you hear, and want more in-depth lessons, I have a growing collection of very indepth, full-length audio lessons for anyone to enjoy. Listeners will be able to follow them, regardless of whether they've listened to this podcast or not. Everything lives at the link below, and I hope that you'll find something in my work that speaks to you, and inspires you to continue your journey of learning my favourite screen reader of all time, namely Voiceover!

In this episode, I introduce a new lesson on how to know when to use the interaction command for Mac with Voiceover users.
This lesson, was inspired by one of my learners, who came to me with a question of knowing, when to interact, and not to interact when using Mac with Voiceover.
Aimed at the more intermediate user of Voiceover on Mac OS, it attempts to provide a solution for those wondering when to press the VO shift down arrow/up arrow commands, by providing situations and scenarios, as well as a pretty foolproof formula to follow that I came up with, for myself originally and wanted to pass along to others.

This episode announces the availability of a new introductory lesson on how to use Pages on Mac with Voiceover, something that many have requested from me for quite some time now. More lessons will follow on this topic, and I also mention that if you see the words "The Accessible Learning Lounge" floating around in various places like on my linktree shop, it simply is to reflect the wider variety of screen readers and tools that I've now started to offer. I will still keep this podcast as being called the Voiceover Learning Lounge, however, to remind us of where this all started and the reason why I built this learning space to begin with!
Check out the lesson, and the rest of my collection here, there's something for everyone!
